The Dayton Art Institute Art Ball a.k.a Dayton’s RED CARPET is the area’s oldest black tie gala.
I had every intention of documenting the making of the gowns for the Art Ball this year. I always intend to photograph the progress and process. I haven’t put a system into play that will allow this to happen, so once again, I have no proof that I made these gowns for these beautiful women. You will just have to trust that I did, and that I had fun while doing so. The theme this year was “Pop of Color”, chosen by Nat Croumer and Jeff Pizza, chairs of the Art Ball this year, and they selected a Willem de Kooning painting to be featured art.
The evening included cocktail hour, dinner, dancing and some goodies. As a Supporting Sponsor, there was a VanLear Custom Couture table during dinner! Pops of color was featured in the details of the night’s gala, along with the VanLear Custom Couture gowns!
The gowns were a hit! As you’ll see them featured in First Photos of Art Ball 2018 (the very first picture!), front and center of the PHOTOS: Art Ball 2018 (actually, to two on the right on the very first picture!), and PHOTOS: The most dazzling gowns from Art Ball 2018 you’ve got to see (check out #10)! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year!
