Now that Halloween has passed, and Thanksgiving has been celebrated, it is time to reflect on Christmases Past. I thought I’d share some Christmas-themed designs I’ve done.
The most notable client would have to be Mrs. Claus. A few years ago, Mrs. Claus approached me to give her a more formal look. She was going to be attending a Christmas event in Centerville, Ohio. She was standing in for Santa Claus as the party was in early December and he was too busy to attend.
My daughter is an elementary school teacher. She has been able to brag to her students that her mother knows Mrs. Claus and has the pictures to prove it. This has generated excitement among her students, and probably a bit of awe. I’m sure they are trying harder to be on the NICE list, with this fairly direct link to the list maker.
I designed the red jumpsuit for a Peppermint Ball, a red ballgown type wedding gown, costumes for a dancing group who was in a Holiday parade and tree gowns for my shop’s holiday window.
The most important, to me, was the glamorous beaded red gown I designed and wore to my daughter’s wedding last December.
There have been many others, and I hope many more in my future. If you would like your very own Holiday Inspired creation, contact us today!
